Black Dal with Kachumber Salad

Our Limited Edition Black Dal served simply with a flakey paratha and fresh Kachumber Salad!
  • 3 Black Dal Blocks
  • 1 Frozen Paratha (or any flatbread)
  • 1 Large Tomato
  • ½ Onion
  • Chunk of Cucumber
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • Handful of Fresh Mint (or try coriander)
  1. Finely slice the onion, cucumber and herbs. Combine and season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  2. Roughly chop the tomatoes and season with salt.
  3. Heat up the Black Dal Blocks until piping hot.
  4. Fry the paratha in a little bit of oil until puffed up and golden.
  5. Layer up the dal, followed by the chopped salad.
  6. Serve as is or with your favourite chutney!
